Anyone know if a a d16y8 sump will bolt directly onto a d16y4 block?
I've heard people say thye blocks are pretty much the same but I need to know for sure.

check with honda if they have the same part number.. if they do that means theyre the same!

hmm they're a lil different
something like 24A & 24J - cant remember the exact number but they ended in A (D16Y8) & J (D16Y4)

PM pornstar as I am sure he will know (last time I spoke to him he was taking a sump off a y4).

the thing that the sump drain plug is screwed in to, hence the name :)

YES u can, i have a y4 sump on mine, runs fine/keeps cool.
