would a H22a fit comfortably in a civic EG??? how much work is involved?

Why would you bother? It will fit but why use a H series when you could use a K series for not too much additional cost and end up with a much quicker car...

nah...H22 costs a lot less than a K20...i think H22 costs less than $5k installed while K20 is at least $7-8k engine only, labour about $2k...someone correct me on this pls...:)
while each has their own advantages, each engine also has their own problems....with H22 u have to prepare to lose ur aircon and i also heard some people had to take off or relocate their power steering unit, while K20's problem would be the low engine position in the engine bay....u might have scrapings on headers....that's the main concern other than price....but someone else might be able to help more....;)
i guess for further info, ask EG5 at JDMYard, their eg is fitted with K20:thumbsup:

im asking cos i found a h22a cheap.... and im selling my teg, im just thinkin what car i can put it in. i want something cheap ... i had a look at some 4th gen ludes goin cheap cos they done alot of kms.... which is pretty much what im after, but they got sold b4 i get there.... they got sold for like 4k.... im after something liek that, thought i mite find a cheap eg breeze or something
if anyone knows anyone sellin a cheap civic or prelude let me know lol around 4k

i take it theres less work involved with a 4th gen lude! does anyone know how much money is involved to drop it in a lude
and what work is involved?

u want a EG for around 4-5K ?
i got 1 that i might be parting just chassis but already fitted with big brakes wiring all done and rear disc plus full jap dash with auto climtae control
