Hi guys,
A few of you have asked what is happening with the DB8 Integra sedan - one very smart person worked out that, as a sedan, the DB8 is technically a different model to the coupe and is therefore eligible for importing to Australia under our SEVS regulations.
So, having applied for eligibility, and having met all the criteria required, the Integra was deemed to be NOT eligible.
Why? The Administrator of Vehicle Standards, who makes these decisions, was of the opinion that, while a 2 door version of a 4 door car sold in Australia is classified as a separate model (eg. The Pulsar GTi-R and our local Pulsars), the same theory cannot be used in reverse.
Needless to say, I think this is ridiculous and have appealed the decision and asked for a review. Will keep you all posted.
