hey all

i am looking at getting a prelude this week.

i have seen a few with this bodykit, however it looks standard and looks more like a lip kit rather than bodykit.

it is pretty simple, just front and rear lip and has side skirts.

anyone know what it is called, where i can get it from and a price on it.

sorry for the bad explanation.

cheers

Only a blind man would deny that with looks far better. But the prices new from Honda are:
Front lip - $412.50
Side skirts - $649.00
Rear skirt - $401.50

All unpainted, so it's your money. Try and source one second hand, but you've gotta be quick, whenever they come up on here or on PreludeAustralia they always dissappear as quick as they appeared.

Nator's car is the hotness :D

OEM kit is pricey but the quality is brilliant.. When I took off my front lip I was testing its flexibility, its unbelievable. Very tough and resilient. If you lower your car you may scrape the front lip every now and again, but it will last for aaaages, as will the rest of the kit.

Glad you agree! This Nator guy doesnt come to many PA meets tho, so I havent seen his car in person yet.... lol!! hehe.

With regards to the kit... make a OEM kit piggy bank.. and put money into it as much as you can, and sooner than you'd think, you will have your kit in your hands... its DEFINITELY worth it..

Hi Guys

I've had a read of this thread, and I too am interested in buying a lip kit of this kind. Honda Australia told me to contact a dealer, but what do I ask? do I just say I want a factory lip kit?

Plus, as the kits come unpainted, will it be easy to find paint to match the Honda I have? I have a 1997 Prelude, and its color is dark green/grey pearl (if you guys know which one im talking about, I assume its called eucalyptus green?) Below is a similar colored lude like mine.

If anyone knows of what I should do to get this kit and get it fitted/painted, I will be stoked!

ps: I live in Sydney

Sweet. Yeh I thought so...

Has anyone here on this forum actually bought this lip kit from Honda?

Im trying to figure out the costs/waiting time

Mrkrooz
30-08-2007, 10:20 PM
costs will be around $ 1200- 1500 + unpainted.......waiting time will depend if they have it on the shelf, order it from anohter honda dealership or bring one in....they should be able to give you a approx. time....

preludeaustralia.com is also anothr helpful site....

I had the eucalyptus green prelude with a mugen bodykit - just ignore the fully sikkk graphic on the side lol! Only a little bit lower than the oem kit.

get a super low king spring... but careful coz the ride will be harsh

Mrkrooz

no way the rear was that low unless it was bagged.....or photoshopped :p

theseven
03-09-2007, 09:34 PM
even super low king springs will not give you that height... it's more like mrkooz said or using no springs at all... lol...

but seriously... how can it be that low?!? care to share? even mine is scrapping everywhere already... that's with 18's.. i heard before that is 19's under there!!

Hi guys... nah, not photoshopped at all. I had koni yellow shocks with custom spring mounts, and skunk2 coilovers. Proper tyre tuck up front, and rim tuck at the back, and there was about 2mm clearance to the mugen exhaust :p the amazing thing was, even at this height I could turn full lock and drive without scrubbing - no flared guards, full plastic inner wheel trim and everything! I reckon it was perfect wheel offset & width, and tyre width to get that.

of course, only had it this low for the photos, it was a little bit higher for daily driving
