Quick DC2R Question

Hey Guys,

Just looking at getting a DC2R and i've found one thats pretty good.

My only question atm is:

- How do i know if it has an immoboliser? The owner has just a normal black key with a red honda logo (not the red key?) And there isn't any remote or anything? It's a 2001 model and Just Cars told me it should already have one!
Just wondering if this is true?

dc2r's should have immobiliser, and it comes with a red key plus 2 other black keys. thats what i have and an alarm. if he doesnt give u a red key, you may need to go to the dealership

Integra's 96 model onwards had immobilisers fitted factory.

how bad is it if he doesn't have the red key?

Honda should be able to sort him out if he needs a replacement key made. The red key is usually only used to open the doors (once only) in an emergency and also to program replacement keys.

Just call your local honda dealer if you need to organise or do a search, this has been covered before.
