Well in the Japanese market, you could buy an 'basic' DC2R which came with no aircon, no SRS, no ABS, no stereo and other little things, the similar concept as the Evo RS (i think the RS was the stripped Evo with steel rims etc?) which came in at just under 1.1 tonnes at around 1087kg. The majority of the Aus spec which includes an stereo, ABS, SRS and air con etc would probably weigh just under 1.2 tonnes. So its not 200kg lighter, it would be difference of around 100-150kg max when comparing against the 'basic' and the Aus spec ITR's.

There are many 'recaro' seats on the market, but I assume you are talking about the sr3's or 2's? I havent weighed them, but from just picking the two up I wouldnt have thought very much. The recaro's were probably lighter, but not in the region of carbon fixed bucket or the like (at least I would have thought).

yeah they're what im referring to zdster, also thanks for the itr info, im asking about the recaros to see if theres a point getting them apart from the honda + recaro relationship there is, cause im looking into getting some bride's, ultra light compared to other sports seats :)
