Thread attatchments

I am sure this is not the correct place to ask this, but I know not where.
Is it possible to add another file suffix to the list of file types that may be attatched to threads. ie I would like to add a spread sheet so require EXCEL file extension. xls.

yeah but people can't save it and modify it as required. wont help in mult page situations as well

are .zips allowed? if not they could be made as a generic base for people to post files such as .doc .xls etc etc

What I was hoping to attatch is a spread sheet of the fuel cconsumption record of my Euro, I do it out of interest and keep up my Excel skills. It shows litres/100km, cost per 10km, miles per gallon (for the old school drivers). As Pandra (CRX) says as a spread sheet it can be addapted by other members for their cars.

Dont think it will ever happen as .doc and .xls leaves a much larger window for hacks, viruses etc to come through the forums.

yeh doc and xls can have macro's which can be harmful, compared to an image which is simply rendered onscreen and not "active" per say.
