Can anyone tell me how to go about purchasing a car from interstate?

I think the best thing to do would be to go to the respective road authorities of the state you're purchasing the in and where you'll be taking the car, RTA in NSW and VicRoads in Victoria (no idea about the other states... lol). The websites should have all the info you need.

Where are you from and where are you buying the car from?

I just bought a car from NSW and I'm from QLD, so I know the procedure in that reguard.
