you can tell the diff between a AUDM and JDM DC2r by the headlights.... search for the differance.

P.S there is no diff engine/mechanical wise with the DC2r and DC2r sports

yea the dc2r. i was asking this cause on carsales i seen a type r sports n wanted to know the diff. Ok so its just a limiter edition type r with no extra features?

i THINK they only came in yellow... and that came with yellow recaro's.

there might be a few other little differances (rear pods on the rear bar etc) but nothing mechanical

yellow dc2r came with yellow recaros..
black dc2r came with red recaros..

optional pods on sideskirts, and optional rear pods..

they only came out in 2001..


and to separate the jdm from the audm..
you have the front headlights/bonnet/bumper/fenders that are different..
jdm oem rims are 16" compared to audm 15"
jdm models only came with red recaros..
jdm models have a max speed of 180km on their cluster..
their engines only have b18c, rather than b18c7

AUDM and JDM are the same mechanically. the JDM has about 5kw more, due to Jap using better fuel then Aus.

The AUDM has round headlights, the JDM has the other shape.

you'll be hard pressed finding a JDM DC2r in Aus for anywhere near the price you can get a AUDM one.... plus the fact that it is in Aus... using Aus fuel means it'll have the same power... so you are paying for the differant front end.... which isn't worth the extra 5k they go for.

if you tune a car to run 105 octane (JDM) and a car to run 95 octane (AUDM) the one running the better fuel is going to get a better power figure... but only slightly ;)

JDM has a different engine code. It probably has more aggressive cams.

but oh well.... DC5r FTW :D... now we are talking differance's between JDM and AUDM... lol
