Sup ppl,
Just wanted to know about fibreglass enclosures.. Are they really that strong? cos i read the instructions online, and they make it sound like 3 layers of fibreglass can hold like 2 subs, and im guessing all that shaking and dattling of the sub, would make the sub box fall apart.

And does any1 know a tutorial on how to make fibreglass enclosures or whre to buy a vid or sumfin? cos teh one i seen online, on the first page of google, miss like important step.. i dont fcuk'n get it..lool

thnx

There is wood frame-work. Make the Box to air-volume specs, and use Fibureglass for show finish. :)

/search

is your friend.

There are a few tutorials around on the net. Will look for you if I remember. Am going to have something to eat.

The old saying is this; it fibreglass is strong enough for boats and aircraft, then it is strong enough for enclosure. You cannot get away with a thin enclosure though. You need to make sure the wall thickness is strng enough. That is where the problem usually lies - in the manufacturing. :)

theres firbreglass in aircrafts?lol, i always thought it was just alot of aluminium in teh air.lol.

ive seen some tutorials, the fibreglass part looks sweet, but the frame part, from wat ive seen, its a couple pieces of wood and some SUPER GLUE stuck together,.. and in my experiences, super glue is strong if ur stickign fingers together, but not wood.lol

and wats a strip fibreglass mat?is that the actualy fibreglass material?
