From searches of this forum it would seem that the Luxury's satellite navigation system is incompatible with MP3 playback.
Hence, my question is whether the MP3 playback Honda OEM accessory is available with the sat nav system.
It's just that my dealer promised me that the sat nav on my soon to be delivered Luxury is MP3 compatible and that if for some reason it isn't, the dealership would pay for the MP3 accessory option.

Obviously the sat nav is a very expensive option ($3K). But for me, it transformed the interior ambience of the car. And it's just so much fun to play with... and I haven't even rigged it yet to play DVD movies... I also got the "metal look" interior trim upgrade, which looks far better than the standard plain black look.
Unfortunately the only way to get MP3 playback in the Euro (OEM that is) is to get the Honda "Multimedia" Player installed.
Fortunately, my dealer is going to install the MP3 player for free when I take my car back to get the free sat nav DVD upgrade that just came out.
I suppose it comes in handy when you're mates with the dealer! ;)

Nope. Not the map that I've got. And I would assume that the system is only compatible with the Sensis maps discs.
You can mark up to 50 (or is it 100?) personal addresses/locations, which could include fixed speed cameras, if that was your thing...

Sensis Whereis? released the updgrade (13th edition) sometime in January. However, my Euro only came with 12th edition when I took delivery in March, so my Honda dealer has ordered the update for me for free. When I go to pick it up he'll also take care of installation of the Honda MP3 player.

DVD upgrade for satnav seems to be pretty $$$... I'm just wondering when we can get a system that let the satnav play DVD movie as well :D
