i still looking for the location of Vin plate

i owned EG8 for 3 years
i know EG8 with have a plate with "EG8 Build Date" infront of the radiator, on the radiator support
But i can't find that on CRX

there also a VIN number located on the firewall with the engines CC engines number, vin number on my EG8, however i can't find that on the CRX

The only thing i can find out is there is a number on firewall but not a plate the only information is "EG2-100244x"

i currently want to buy a 1996 CRX however i doubt with the build year that's why i want to find out the vin plate location so that i can check with the build date

the VIN number is pressed into the firewall too. The VIN plate should be on the firewall nearby. Possibly due to accident or rebirth ?

Your VIN number is also on your rego paper. It will give the details of model / year / number etc.

The vin number on rego paper is useless, because the CRX is a import car & the rego paper's vin number is issue by Australia with 6T91MPV97Y1NMExxx
i'm looking for the vin number is issue by Honda with:

and build year is the 10th digit

Shouldn't be an import if its an EG2.

Unless you wanted a JDM engine or a D series engine with the trans top crud.

If its dodgey don't buy it. Theres plenty of good examples out there, you just gotta keep your eyes open.

Good luck man.

i'm 100% sure the crx is a import car because the car have a import approved plate written 03/00 so i believe the car was imported in March 2000

& a plate with "6T91MPV97Y1NMExxx" which is a vin number issued by Australia.

could any CRX owner post a number plate photo here, as a photo bester than 1,000 words
Thank you

isn't that your vin number that you just posted what your after???

It can only have one VIN number. The jap one would get removed after it gets an aussie one.

That info should be attached to the rego information, and seein as though its not a VIN number given out by the manufacturer you will never be able to be 100% sure.

AUDM ftw.....

????

i meant, you can probably find out whether it's 1996 or 1992 just by looking at the car, and the cosmetic differences..

what you have stated above is correct. that is the import date and the aussie issued vin

if it's an import from japan i'm pretty sure the VIN wont start with JH... you will just see EG2XXXXXX whatever on the firewall. we have an imported EG at work atm, i'll take pics 2moro and post em up at lunch time for reference to give ya a hand
