Aim: To replace the rear light housing
Required: Size 8 spanner
another human being( for 2 secs)
Steps:
1. Open the boot lol....
2. Remove the interior trimmings of the boot by pushing in all the centre of the button lock things. It is sufficient to remove the plastic at the bottom of the of the boot, where the lock is situated and approximately and about half of the side carpet trim.....just enough for you to push it back and access all the screws.
3. With the spanner, loosen all the screws and unclip the electrical connection from the housing. Then undo all the screws and the housing should then become loose. Then you should be able to remove the housing and replace it with whatever housing your going to swap it with.
4. Repeat in reverse order to get the new housing on and repeat for the other side.
5. Get someone to press the brake light and the indicators just to make sure that they all work........
Other comments
It all depends on how loose your cables are but some might find it easier to unclip the connection while the housing is still fully in or it could be easier when the housing is fully unscrewed.
