hey guys

i was wondering if anyone has installed a dvd system in their euro. i'm very keen to install one and have gone to many audio installers and some places have told me different things

1. i was wondering if anyone has installed a double din dvd player/screen
on their bottom compartment under the factory audio (where it says push)
i was told by some places that the space was too small for a nice fit.

2. second option and the one that i am leaning towards is
installing jst a lcd screen (6.5inch) flush on the compartment i was told that this was the easiest thing to do an put the dvd player mounted neatly inside the glove box.

if anyone one has installed a similar setup or something totally different it would be great to see some photos as it would give me a better idea.

cheers!!

This is what i'm looking at doing as well however a few questions

1. Do you still have the standard stacker in dash working cause i don't like the big blacnk screen some people have on the standard screen once they install a dvd or cd player in run subs from.

2. I would also love to be able to hide it with the standard cover as when i ave clients in my car i don't want it to look too "Pimped Out" ...on the weekends now thats another storey...!

3. sorry for the knob questions but is the part you insert the dvd in the glove box? is that how those screens work????

look forward to any help

1. You should still be able to use the factory headunit as CD storage as long as there is still power going into it.

2. The factory flip cover is removed completely, so you can't really use it to hide the "pimpness"

3. The screen actually slides down so that you can insert/eject discs. There's a slot that is the same as the factory one, it's just hidden behind the screen.
Here's a pic of how it slides down and the disc is ejected:
