hey there , what exactly is your question .... the shell is personal preference.. the eg may be a little lighter and hence may be a little faster and because of the age would be cheaper.... if your question is for the halfcut (b18cr) just search around the place (wreckers, personal adds , for sale section, one of the POV boys) ... not entirely sure what your question was...

if you want performance, id say go EG for the simple reasons that siksivic threw at you.
if you want more stylin', id say go EK. its prettier like that. better to slap ground fx on an EK than EG i reckon

well yeh like i did not put it out nicley lol ill start again...the b18cr knowing it fits but would that be to hard a installment.. and would it be to much power for my first engine conversion........im not to fussed on style more a less power n chassis reliability. :)
im up for the eg but would you really want to go back to an eg after owning a 7th gen?
not that the eg is a bad car but the 7th gen had a hell of a lot more creature comforts that i rekon you will miss.

like prev. mentioned..
egs arnt the best lookin cars IMO but theyre lighter which is why more ppl use them for engine conversions.. as more parts are interchangable between the eg and the dc..
eks look better but i think might be a lil trickier to get a b18 into than it is an eg.
but i mean all comes down to personal preference.. the conversion will work in both...

Installment on an EG / EK would be the same level of difficulty.

i would go the eg mate easier in parts wise and fitment
especially if you want to do a b18cr conversion
ek are nice too but just depends on your taste and money wise

rhk!!! what type of creature comforts would you be missing from a eg to a 2006 vti???
there is a 15 year gap between the models!!!
the only thing you would be missing is the good looking shape the eg is and how butt ugly the new civics are!

have u done ur calculation. c how much ill cost.. to get the car and then do all the work on it.
and hey it might look kool knowing that u got a crazy car.. but at the end of the day u gotta think about if ur going to keep the car or just end up selling it later.
also if ur going to put a b18cr in it and if u wanna do it properly and have it tuned im sure ur going to have to spend some big bux on it.. and it might aswell of been cheaper for u to just go out and get a dc2r.
c if u get the dc2r u already have something great to build on.
and im sure if u can find a stock one with very lil mods u will be happy with the power. and then u can spend lil money here and there for extra power mods.. and u dont have to worry about the head ace or trying to find al the parts and lil extra bits.. but that’s just my 2cents
hope it helps

I was sitting in my cuz's EK4 with b18c5 conversion today. Personally I would prefer the EK. EK4 handles quite well stock. It's really up to you. The engine swap is a much of a muchness between the two shapes as mentioned before. Up to what shape you like better....

yeah marabaan ur very right with what u have stated but i just love the civic factor lol if u understand what im trying to state ..casue i dont see myself in the integra itself like yeah lovely cars dont get me wrong but not my thing....and because this is my first engine transplant it will be difficult to do everything but my goal is to have a street machine civic even though it has been done before but i wanna do it for myself ....
