Hey all,
Just need to get some advice as my headlights are fogging up on my Ek civic drivers side. Just got 3 questions.
Any suggestions how I can fix this?
Should I just put a seal all over with silicon?
How would I get rid of the small patch of fog thats in there now?
thanks

for a start, let the rain stop and let the condesation in your headlights dry up. Better ye, if you have a few hours to spare, take the light out, pull it apart and give the inside a clean out, as the condensation will leave shit in your headlight.
When youve cleaned it, as you put it back together seal it up with some clear silicon, or you might even want to see if you can actually get a OEm seal, dunno if there is one, but maybe if you replace these then itll be all good.

drilling the hole
letss the fog drip out of it
thus drying up faster

thanks for clearing that up MRwillz
As for sealing up the headlight should I just apply the silicon all around the headlight again?
Or should I completely melt and remove the old seal and clean inside then reseal it again with a new application?

Are your lights stock or aftermarket?
as a start make sure you're light bulb is sealed properly.
I had this issue on my crx with the corner light, was constantly fogging up until i made sure the bulb is in correctly and sealed well - no more fogging up.

headlights are aftermarket.
Didnt have the issue before only realised it this weekend when I installed my HID's.
Seems like its only the corner where the indicator is thats foggin up.
I double check the lightbulb again.
Thanks for the heads up.

yeah, sounds like the bulb itself isn't sealed properly since its just happened after you installed HIDs...
cool - hope it helps!

also heard that sometimes if the fog is on permanent, its on the outside of the headlight, and wet and dry paper can remove it. can someone confirm this aswell?

again: on aftermarket lights? aftermarket lights are usually plastic - and the 'fog' i think you're refering to is normal discolouration - yes - very fine paper (wet) - like 2000 grit and some scratchX should clear that up.
