Hey I was just wanting to know what is suppose to be cliped on the left hand side of the passanger foot well. I tried looking in the manual but yea I cant read japanese so its abit hard lol. also those 2 circle vents on either side of the steering wheel? are they tiny tweeters or air vents?
Cheers.

do you mean on the floor for the passenger - the left bottom should be the ecu under the black cover. circle vents?
I have tweeters in my doors but they aren't stock though. Also how come your manual isn't in english?

umm its actuall on the left side wall there is like a clip mounted on the side wall, were for example you could put a cylindrical object in it. Its not aftermarket its factory. and as for the vents no on the door they are just under the instrument cluster sorta behind the steering wheel.
as for the manual not being in english no idea. The car was origionally imported from nz and i believe from what ive heard they get direct imports of this model from japan.

Those circles that you are talking about are nothing, they are just empty spots for buttons or something.
on the vti-r's the right hand side has the dimmer for the cluster lights and the left is just blank...usually people wire thier foggies or something and put the switch there

Probably just a feature added to comply for Aus Stand. when manufactured.
You obviously dont have it, and being an import probably didnt come with it. if you pop a flat head screw driver in there carefully you can take them off and fix any kind of button you like onto the "circle thingy"

Well the '98 update actually came out late '97 so yeah that kind of thing happens all the time. As for the two circle things, as said the right is dimmer for dash lights, left is for fog lights fitted to SiR-G in JDM and USDM, but ours got a plastic cover which looks like a vent.

I'm quite sure i read in a manual that the cirlce vent on the left is a sensor for the "auto" mode on the aircon on vtir models that regulates the cabin temp. on my gsi however its just filled in with a plastic vent, i dont think auto mode was an option for the 1993 gsi.

The manual says models which have auto climate control (overseas models), the left cover is used as a temperature sensor.
