ok im currently running a b16a with 10psi(.7 bar) of boost.

but the problem is that i cant seem to lauch it without smoking up the wheels in the 1st/2nd and the start of 3rd.

currently using a tial wastgate, could i get a softer spring say 7psi, so that it doesnt kick in as hard at take off, and use a electronic boost controller to up the boost in say 3rd? if so is there anything else i would need? i wana go for higher boost later on when i rebuilt the engine dats why im using the external wastegate.

Also is there anything else i could get to help me lauch off the line quicker and smoother? im currently looking for some coilovers also.

dont push your right pedal down so hard.

yeah wastegates are there to regulate boost right?

Yep, possible to do it just the way you said.
The AVC-R can be set up for gear based boost control

I had the same issues in mine running 12 daily,
Tyres is a big factor, same with sussy.
As yourfather mentioned, try going 1/2 throttle in the lower gears.
I actually found that i was pickin up speed quicker goin 1/2 throttle thryou 1st, 2nd and then planting it in 3rd.

Hondata s300 ECU allows you to regulate boost between gear me thinks?

thanks guys, ive had the setup for about 5months now.

yeh my sussy will be upgraded when money permits it(uni student) and im currently looking at a range of 16's for my ride, as the 17's look nice, but dont offer much traction.

im still running the orig obd0 ecu with stage2+boost hondata ecu

running a custom 500hp roller turbo.

Claymore im NOT after less HP, just wana find a way to be able to use the power, i'd rather have less in the lower gears with less spin, then more HP and full spin until 3rd.

cant u have dual stage boost controller as a quick fix?
just take off on low boost then flick the switch/punch the button

i found it impossible to gain traction even on semi slicks rolling on 15s on my turbo setup, turbo honda= crazy

Its all about throttle control.... So make sure you wearr the right shoes... otherwise you might lose the race!!

yeh i tried launching with my mates semis and its alil better, but still not great.

ive got the metal razo pedels, so whatever i wear they grip on the sole of the shoe.

I changed to stickier tyres plus done suspension. BIG DIFFERENCE! Even look at gettin an LSD.

Hondata s300 does boost per gear control.

PM Dyno Dave for details!!

already have LSD standard. and im still running a obd0 with hondata stage2+boost ecu.

ill speak to james about s300, but im pretty sure you need to upgrade to a obd1 b4 you can use it.

it wont be stock internals for long, almost got all the parts i need to rebuilt the engine+gearbox.lol

I was pumping 12-15psi on my H22 with stock internals. Daily driver too.

I wouldn't recommend it for longer than a month or so. Bore starts expanding and other things start happening:eek:

bore expand not too sure.. ??

being on 10psi for just over 6mths.. all good, just need to had to run massive breather pipes out of the head and sump to release some of the pressure build up.. ive got a massive 25mm breather from the head to the catch can.

but yeh my plan is to soon change the spring to a softer spring, so i can run lower boost in first 2 gears, then use a boost controller (electronic of course) to up it up in 3rd onwards. but thats after i do some internal work.

been running 12psi on my accord for ages now with no problems.

Bores expanding?!

Did lower the compression? ... i ran only 0.8 bar on race.. and 0.6 bar on daily ....

im sacred popping .. guess i need to retune again .. see if its safe on 12 psi... which what 0.9 - 1 bar?

Man I launched at 6,000 RPM on the track with Semis. Why don't you get a dual boost control setup.

Limo

thats what im going for. but atm im currently running a 0.7bar wastgate spring. plus i dont wana run anymore boost until i get some stronger internals.
