im running the stock EG VTi one on the front, and a 22mm Whiteline one on the rear and im happy with it, stiffened up the rear and with coilovers, makes for great handling

using a whiteline 22mm rear sway, improved cornering quite well.
standard front, should upgrade that as well, front end is really letting me down.

whiteline 26mm front , ITR rear 23mm bar + ASR brace. Feels great.

24mm front, 22mm rear on an ek with stock spring/shock combo.
Great, but still to much understeer for my liking, 18mm front would be good for me.

Realise that the swaybars you would use depends grealy on what your spring rates are at the front and rear if u got aftermarket springs/coilovers.

20mm rear + koni/neuspeed shock spring combo.

Too much understeer. how can i combat this?!? I've made the front shock softer thus far.

you have a big fat FWD car. Its going to understeer no matter what lol.
Smaller cars with upgraded rear bars can find oversteer or lift off oversteer - but i think the weight of your car pulls it down

Do what every one does in the US and run springs with a high rear bias spring rate, ill be staring a discussion on this in the next few weeks.

Stock 14mm atm. Might lower spring rates and go for 22mm ITR or whiteline with asr kit.

stock fronts.
22mm whiteline rear sways + tie
spoon rear strutty
pedder springs which arent TOO bad, just temp

handles pretty well
except for on bumpy turns.. still holds well.. but yeah dont feel safe.. lol

flat turns no probs at all.. holds very well, no understeer.. happy with it so far..

BUT the MOST important handling part is good tyres... thats whats letting me down right now, but its not viable to get good/expensive tyres when my cars so low the camber chews them away so fast

standard 22mm front and the rear is an adjustable whiteline 20-22mm
currently set on the softer setting. with coilovers spring rates 4kg front 3kg rear.
if you hook the car up properly in the corner the back will slide out slightly
feels very neutral but push too hard and it still understeers.

PS. running hankook Ventus V8 RS silica based tires very grippy
with about -1.2 camber on the fronts and about -2 camber on the rear

IMO dont good for such a big front sway. Whiteline rear sway is sufficient enough. Keep to stock front sway and upgrade the rear... this is from personal experience on the track.

Leave stock Swaybar at the front!!!!!!!!!!!!!!........upgrade rear swaybar plus heavier spring and your laughing.

That is a pretty generic statement. It really depends on what car you are talking about, what size sway bar, tyres etc etc.

mine's great with just rear sway bars, not looking at doing fronts

bennjamin

as a general rule on a FWD car "we" tend to upgrade the rear swaybar first.
Then , if needing extra oomph and stability get a larger front swaybar.
IMO you might look at a frontal castor kit to help reduce
underster and increase turn in.
IMO dont use higer rated springs in the rear as it might upset a average driver ( lift off oversteer)

you obviously have spent all that cash on the engine bay and not making it handle :)

IMO Perry - get a EK9 rear bar and a ASR brace.
Will 100% bolt on and is perfect.

Or even the itr sway would do the job. How are you finding the car with just running a front sway and no rear?

just a slight bit

perry. im sure if you get semi's next time you hit the track you would notice it would be much different. it was only sliding cus u had street tyres on.

track it again with semis and see how it goes. if it still understeering then you need a fatter rear sway :) Also a wheel alignment does wonders as well.

.. the ITR front sway is proabably the same size as stock EK4... so u have at worst an EK4 set up..

Try playing with you tyre pressures first if your supension isnt adjsutable..

Should try and optimse your street tyre times first.. alot more can be had... Stock dc2r can get 1:14 on streets tyres (when driven by crazy mofos)... DOCHVTEC on this forum gets in the 14's on stock r:thumbsup:..

ITR front and rear sway bar and some dodgy brand spring sleeves. varii good.. but just need to get some coilovers to get the most out of it! the spring sleeves dont really do much imo

front: stock

rear: 22mm dc2 bar

verdict: big improvement over stock. still nothing to write home about though
