Still getting missing images and icons [Archive]

I have been getting this problem on Ozhonda for months (since the server move) and the problem still persists today, and only on Ozhonda. All other websites I visit are fine. If I do a refresh sometimes everything will reload properly or the page will reload with other missing images and icons. I have deleted my Temp Internet Files numerous times but it has not made any difference. Is anyone else getting this problem?? It's annoying...

CNTRL + F5 alot.
Clear your cache.
DL a program called " CCleaner" and use that to clear everything temp.
Erm....

I too had this problem for awhile with Ozhonda. Turned out to be a complete mystery and it fixed itslef after a while.

I've downloaded and run CCleaner but to no avail. Pages still come up like this:

I will try another PC on the network and let you know.

Unfortunately also getting the same symptoms on my laptop over wireless, and using XP Home and IE7 (the first PC I used was XP Pro and IE6). So it's not PC specific or IE specific...

You sure you don't have any redirects for ozhonda.com in your hosts file?

yeah prob some backgorund program is writing at the sametime which is causing this to not show ur icons...maybe could also be ur registry

Security and private settings are all at default. Not convinced is my registry as it is occurring on BOTH my PCs, running different versions of IE.

Yeah I doubt its your registry too.

Anyone else having problems? Really need to know. Also have you tried it in firefox Alpine?

My hands are pretty much tied behind my back because the site seems to be working fine for everyone else. That said I'll bring it up with our host.

Do you have any security applications like Norton Internet Secuirty etc?

Reason being is that Ozhonda images are served from a different (US based) server and your security software might not like images served from a different server to the one the forum is served off.

The only Norton product I am using is NAV 2005 (anti virus). I've had a look at the settings and can't see anything that could relate to the problem I am getting...does anyone know where to look, if NAV could be the cause?

EDIT - tried temporarily disabling NAV but the pages still come up with missing images. :(

Really don't know what else man. If atleast someone else had the problem we could maybe narrow it down.

Doesn't sound like the same issue pepper. We're talking about images on the Ozhonda server. Ie the icons that belong to this site.

do you recall I had a similar problem boss ? It fixed itself somehow....honestly a few refreshes and it was fine.

Finally got around to installing the latest Firefox. Hmm...so far so good! Pages load and reload perfectly with Firefox in the 15 mins I've used it. Bloody #@$%ing IE!!

yeah its fenikatau for me also. icons replaced by text. for example the quote icons and quick reply icons. they are missing but the links as text still work
