View Full Version : EK Gli tyre size issue
ok guys need some help...
my car stock runs on 195/50/R15
and if i m to put a set of 205/60 semis on for track purpose would that be a major issue for scrubing and things like that?
provided taht i m running on a 6k spring rate... and there s about 1-2 finger gap between tyres and the guard.??
thx

Last week i got my front tyres replaced.
and when i wanted to go for the 205 instead of the 195 on 15inchs for better grip the guy said you will rub really bad and with the 1st corner you take you could scrub really bad into your guards and you might have really bad damage.
so yea i just stick to the 195 until i roll the guards hehehe
hope it helps nick !!!

your car will lag even more with fatter tyres
if u want tyres for track purpose, try running the smallest set of rims and the right tyre profile.

Going from 195/50 to 205/60 will ruin your acceleration. The rolling diameter is larger.
