hey.. just a question...

Would the stock dc2r B-pipe be suitable for a 5 Zigen 4-2-1 Header + Catco 2.5" + dc2r stock b-pipe + AUSDM muffler?/

I DON'T want to modify my b-pipe or muffler so would i be able to just modify my cat to make this all fit? Or do I have to look for a new B-pipe?

Also, are there alot of restrictions in the stock b-pipe? If so, would it be more ideal to just get a bigger 2.5" b-pipe?

Im being a tightarse and trying to fit everything on my stock system so i can prgressively modify the exhaust...

afaik the catco cat will be too short to join your b-pipe and headers together, you can either modify it to have a flexipipe which will make the cat longer and reach the b-pipe or just get them to extend the cat by other means

it will be about 10 cm to short if the catco cat is the same size as the jdm 2.5" cat. oem oz cat is about 40cm long jdm cat is about 30 cm long. the other option is to get the jdm dc2r b pipe as it is longer and will fit your needs without changing any thing

sorry for hi-jacking but would the stock b-pipe loose performance?

sorry for hi-jacking but would the stock b-pipe loose performance?

lol, that was my second part to this question yet no one answered it...

I believe that the stock dc2r b-pipe is 2.38" in diameter, although i have come to the belief that a 2.5" diameter B-pipe would be ideal...

Anyone really know if an aftermarket B-pipe would give that much of a gain or would i be better off just saving my money and leaving the stock b-pipe?

im using the stock b pipe performance is good but i like it for its quite stock noise. the resonator is better than any performance exhaust shop has to offer

in saying that..

is it illegal for a b-pipe to not have a resonator? And also, do resonator restrict the exhaust or do they create excessive turbulance that will have a negative effect on the performance of the exhaust..

Im currently trying to weigh up:

2.5" custom b-pipe: straight though, no resonator, bigger diameter than stock

or

2.3" stock b-pipe: 2/3 resonators?, smaller diameter, slightly more restrictive, but a cheaper option...

what you guys think?
