ive seen a few talks on batteries here but nothing stating exactly which battery to get... i called bob jane they said theres like five different 12Volt battries for civics, he needed to know which one, and my battery is old and has no details on it so which one should i go for, the prices seemed good too... betwen $84-$110

so which battery and size should i get etc..

can i just get any 12V that fits in rack or is there a minimum Watts for these batteries?

just go to KMART or big w.
Get a 12v "car" battery. Should be about $80-100 for a decent one.
If it stuffs up under warranty simply take it in and get a new one.

there isnt really specific - just "small car / medium car and large car/4WD".
The different between the set is the size , and the CCA's ( cold-crank-amps)
Refer to this page for a good insight

for everyday use batteries are batteries.
they are all 12 volt so you dont need to worry about that
as long as you have the right size and cca rating for the car u'll be fine

but yeah up to about $110 sounds about right for a standard battery

I got a Century battery. If you go to their website they've got a product finder that will give you the product code. Pretty happy with it as the car starts and no problem running all accessories and stereo system all at the same time. I picked it up when Autobarn had 20% storewide so saved a bit of money too.

As has been stated, for everyday use, batteries are batteries. Dont bother spending a huge amount on them as there is no point.
