Help on 40000KM Service on V6L

ok i just booked in my car for this friday for its first major service, what i want to know is what do they do in the service besides change the oils, and sparks plugs.


i am getting it serviced at Essendon Honda and they are changing me $600 for it, does this sound good as far as a major service goes.


does the car feel really different once it is done

thats a fair price from a dealer

all fluids and filters, tighten the chassis bolts, lube the caliper pins ect check hoses and belts.

read your service book, its all in there

feel sorry for the mech that cops that job :p I hate doing sparkies on the V6's (just the rear bank)

40,000km should also include a valve clearance check.

yeah the techie was saying somfin like that will i notice a real major difference in the car once i have done this service.

while they are doing the sparkies do u think i should go and get some iridium ones would they be better.

Iridiums last long (120,000km) IF your engine is running perfect. Not lean, not rich and definitely not having oil burning in your combustion chamber.

They don't give a noticable performance boost.

Honda doesn't make plugs. They usually use NGK or Denso plugs. Most made in Japan Hondas come with NGK from the factory.

ok cool as long as they put spark plugs in there that are good im happy, but like i said would the car drive different once the service is done considering all the wokr that they are going to be doing.
