Swaybars will add some more fun to it

bang for buck = turbo
don't bother with a b16a.. if you want one, sell your car, buy an ek4

i dont even know what these ek numbers stand for , i wonder how hard it is to turbo this car, i dont see many kits out there for it...
i might just look into running a low boost turbo with no intercooler or compression change, just turbo, manifold and ecu change mostly (and other small internals) man ecu's are expensive though

Take out the back seat and stereo and air con. Give yourself the full type-R experience. You wont go much faster but its about the driving experience.
And yes please, explain all those numbers. ek4, 9 ?? Whats that all about.

Sorry, taking out the back seat, stereo and air con doesn't give you the full Type R experience. Because Type Rs come with a back seat and stereo. Air con is optional.

ek4 = VTIR
ek9 = civic type R
those are just codes for civics
example: DC2R = integra type R

around $6K for a standard one, $10K for a highly modded one like that TODA one that was for sale.

IMO turbo the current engine is a waste of money. You probably be as quick as a b16a. You can get a b16a half-cut from 3.5-4k depending on condition whereas turbo ur looking at easy 5k for a ok set-up.

my stock d16y8 engine turboed with a gt28 at 5psi will shit all over any civic with a b16a conversion. lol
cost of turboing current engine < swappin in a b16a. Plus the swap wont give u 120kws + atws.
swappin a b16a is over rated and a waste of money.

I am closing this thread. All of these questions have been asked and answered time and time again. Look at a turbo setup or an engine swap. Turbo's on d series blocks are far from a waste of time and money as Zelda has said and produce much more than a b16 setup if down right.
