Hey PPL I have a problem with the sump.
As i was doing my oil change when it came time to screw the drain bolt or plug i noticed that i kept turning and turning and turning without tightening hence I came to the conclusion that the I had threaded the Screw. I tried that tape to make it tight but it didnt work.:(
So my question is. Do I have to replace the sump or is there any way to fix either the oil plug like getting another one or the actual drain hole..??

yeah you can, but then you iwll have to use a different bolt.
buy a second hand sump.

You have a couple of options.

What is acuatlly stuffed the thread on the Bolt or the Sump???

If its just the Bolt, get a new one. If its the Sump or Both then read on.

Firstly the stock size on a B series motor is M14 x 1.5, I would have thought it is the same as yours.

1. Tap out the thread in the Sump to a larger size and get a New Plug/bolt to suit. Any decent mechanic will have these tools. Might have to take the sump off.

2. You can buy oversized "cutting" M14 sump plugs from Autobahn. These are an oversized M14, that cuts the existing thread in the sump. These however I would not recomend as the shards of metal will ended up in your sump and is really a band aid job of doing it right.

I would definalty try cutting a new thread first. Leave the option of getting a new or 2nd hand sump till last.
