Well, as the title implies, Hi all.
I don't actually own a honda as yet, but i have always had a fondness of naturally aspirated civics. After reading some articles on modifications carried out on these vehicles in various Australian 4-cylinder magazines, i thought i would drop by here and gain more information before taking the plunge into ownership.
In essence, i'm here to pick your brains, and learn what i can.
Thanks, and i look foward to hearing from you soon.

Welcome Nath.
interestin username indeed...:p
You've come to the right place, plenty of info here and a lot of people with generously modified civics. (use the search feature and you'll find a heap of info)
What year civic are you looking into? Planning to use it for street or track?

I believe my name originally came from an episode of the Simpsons, although the original scene is lost to me now.
I have spent a while looking, and I think it has come down to an EK VTiR hatch. Now i just need to hit the trading pages/online listings to find one at the right price.
The car, ideally, would be orientated 75% track, 25% road. Things such as air-con, back seats, sound deadening and the like are neither here nor there for me.
We have a family car, a commodore cruise-liner thats auto so the Mrs can drive it.
What I am looking toward is a car for me primarily, to get me to and from work when needed (an easy commute), and to have some legal fun in on the weekends, whether it be on the track, or at the strip on the odd ocasion.
I have a small base mechanical understanding, having rebuilt the SOHC 18rc in my current 1974 corona, but the engine has done 30k and it's getting a bit tired (I was winging the rebuild). It comes down to sinking money into a 33yr old pit, or stepping up and starting with something fresher and a lot more modern.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.

EK VTi-R's are good, but hard to find one thats good.
EG's are pretty good track cars, and it'll leave you with more cash to play with when it comes to handling and stuff.
