hey fellas,

strange thing is i bought an ek, but the engine number on rego papers doesnt match rta record, ive been advised to check engine number in the car, where can i expect to find it?

Its stamped at the front-left of the engine near the gearbox under the distributor. You may need to clean away the grease/oil to read it.

Just to the left of the exhaust manifold
You will see two lines of writing

First will read "B16A2" or whatever engine you have
Second line will rear "3002343223" or whatever your engine number is

You need the second line

okay cool got it, running checks now, engine type is D16Y4, god knows what that is

nuffing wrong here ... u sed god knows wat it is ..
ek1 came with D16y4 ...

if engine number doesnt match .. its musta have been replaced .. maybe old motor died and just str8 replacement

yep checked it out ,and now fixing it with rta... they had wrong engine details so doing an id check at local workshop
