this little thing behind the passenger side headlight which looks like its a tiny circle glass thing (1cm diametre) seems to not be attatched to anything, just hanging there of its silver (looks like steel) pipe, what is it?

It is for the air con, it lets yous see the gass going through. Do u still have your aircon hooked up?

its located right next to the power steering reservoir. Sits in a hole in the body of the car , located above the wheel arch. There should be 2 metal pipes joining the top of it

Have u had an engine swap done to the car or anything that has had the engine required to removed. this could mean that they ungassed the aircon and diconnected or that you may have had previous problems with the a/c compressor and someone has decided not to fix it and left it diconnected. If you have any traces of green dye on the pipes or compressor this can be an indictaion of previous problems with the aircon.
Hope that helped.:D

well whatever you do yourself to get it connected you still need someone to refill the gas for you, so you might as well take it to someone who does aircons and they should hook it up and refill at the same time, by the way what area do you live in?

I had mine refilled by a guy in moorebank and he dosent over charge too much like some other places. he has a mobile van and usually works from base on moorbank ave from 'five start smash repairers'. His name is Jose (hoozay). if thats close to you.

He charged me around $80 for a pressure leak test and refill which was alot cheaper than what some others quoted me ($200). i've had work done by him before so maybe thats why he charged so little:D
