hey all,

when selling a car modified for show ie " big stereo and big interior and so on"

is it worth stripping a car and selling separately ?
Or selling as complete package and just waiting for the right buyer to come along and just put up with all the time wasters ?

thanks

matt

Stripping the car will get you a much better end price in my opinion. That being said, you will never get what you put into it back but you should get something for the parts.

Show cars never sell well "as is"
I too, would recommend you revert some of it back to standard as it does making selling it a lot easier.

yeah i know im gunna lost out on the money side of things either way,

but the problem im faced with is that who is then going to want a full custom interior or boot install to suit my car and my taste, thats why i was thinking if i just wait it out hopefully i will just get a buyer.

but i dont know thats why im posting for advice i guess =)

ditto.

Cars are NOT an investment. A big money pit...

but if you have the spare time , stock parts etc. replace everything back to stock and sell the car. Then , slowly you will sell the individual parts ( will take some time tho)

the only problem is the amount done to the interior, basically every single bit of the interior including the floor has been trimed, so i would have to spend a shit load buying up all the plastic's, seats, pillars everything u can think of,

like stuff like wheels n coilovers would be easy enough to remove n sell cause i got spares.

but im gunna have to have a big think about what im goin to do.
