Hey
Problems only started in the afternoon.
Trying to start my car it didn't seem like it was starting, jus hearing it "crank" i think the word is. I thought battery might be playing up. So kept on driving then

In traffic I noticed my temp probe was gettin above the normal (midway) and continueing to rise, so i left a gap between myself and the car infront so i can move forward quickly to cool down the radiator, this worked. Already by this stage I was concerned about whats going on. I remember reading somewhere here about the radiator fan not starting up so once i got home, put the handbrake up and let the car run, in about 3-4 minutes the temperature probe went back up again, so I popped the bonnet and realized the fan wasn't spinning.

I've already checked the fuse and it seems to be fine, my coolant resevoir is above "max" and it hasn't been flushed out in a while, i know my engine oil+ filter, fuel filter. are due to be changed aswell. could those contribute to it?
Thanks
I've listed all i've thought are important if theres anything else u needa noe i'll try to find out..
Please help :(

Talk to yonas @ jdm yard m8. he should be able to hook you up with what you need. For the sake of keeping the car alive, i'd change out the thermostat and fan switch. I'd also be flushing out my coolant system if it's any colour other than green...

 hope this helps!

coolant is green, i have a feeling it is a electrical problem because of issues with startup, maybe grounding issue?

Its not an issue of the coolant but rather the fan not turning on. Please read my post again.

Get a new fan switch...

If the fuses are good, it's doubtful that the fans themselves have actually died

You might as well get a service done at the same time and get new coolant...

Genuine Honda coolant is blue
After market coolant is normally green

could this be a grounding problem? i installed new rear 6x9's last night, could they be the issue ? I've only had this problem after installing them.
Im thinking of taking them out tomorrow to see if the same thing happens.
tell me your thoughts
cheers

I doubt that they speakers would have anything to do with the fans not working

If you can find where the sensor for the switch is and short it using a piece of wire and the fans should just turn on...

It won't be the thermostat but rather the water temp sensor

Thermostat just controls the water flow when it's cold it doesn't let the water recirculate... and when hot it opens up to let the water flow freely

What year, engine and transmition have you got?

if i could give rep points they'd all go to you.
I guess i'll just go for a full service at GWS, does anyone recommend anywhere else, i was thinking i could go somewhere close to uni (latrobe)

when i jus got my car, my thermostat was also ****ed up, but for my case is the thermostat was open all the time so whenever the car is moving the temperature will drop till almost C but when stopping da time the temp will jus go up to the normal temp. so my guess is not the thermostat. Hv a try at this http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49828&highlight=thermostat

Found the source of the issue. My starter motor had to be reconditioned and with that the auto electrician regrounded my car becuase some of the cables looked a bit dodge.
now my fan works and car is running fine =)
