as above, where is the noise coming from exactly?

if you have an aftermarket intake, it could be that. In most cases it usually is, however you'll need to be a bit more specific with details for anyone on here to be able to help you find out where or why its happening.

Sounds like its clutch noise when the clutch is engaged.

would that be a serious problem?

whistling is using the air intake

so does it only happens on first gear?

could be bearings in the gearbox..

nah theres no system nothing the car is factory standart no cold air intake nothing, yea and it only does it in first gear when i even out the clutch, how can the bearings in the gearbox be making a whistle?

are you sure it's not the bearing in your gearbox gone?

How olds your clutch? if its worn it could be slipping on its rivets

To fix it would mean a new clutch plus the labour involved in doing it.
Just get it checked out by a mechanic first before you go out and start blowing money away.

I have a friend with a dc2 vtir and his spigot bearing on his fly wheel failed causing a squeaking sound. As for the gear box if the bearings are worn it would sound as if the gears are crunching or grinding under load
