DC5R Muffler's straight thru bypass flap (pics !) JDM only

X2BOARD (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerouser?cmd=viewprofile&id=999294325) : "So I've been hearing that the DC5 ITR muffler has some type of bypass flap that opens under a certain rpm (or exhaust flow) to go from a fully chambered design to more or less, a straight thru (or at least less muffled) type. I thought that sounded pretty damn trick, so I picked one up, hacked off the inlet piping and here it is."

instead of muffled, it's straight through..

so when you plant your foot down, when you want the power.. it's straight through, producing the power..

but when you're taking it easy.. it's muffled, and quieter..

Another product of honda's engineers, love the way they just dont think about performance, they are practical. ;)
