i was driving last nite and some stup!d fark left a rock in the middle of the road. i didnt see it and droved right over it. now my oil pan is dented pretty bad(not leaking luckly), exhaust pipes and other stuff is bit dented...

will there be any problems if i just leave it. or should i replace it?
how much will it cost to get a new oil pan?

thnx

it depends where the dent is. i think the oil pickup is in the middle of the pan, so as long as the dent isnt there, u should be ok.. a dent shouldnt effect pick/flow tht much.

if its in themiddle id replace it.
i think pans cost around ~120 from the wreaker. just grab one and replace it urself.. not that hard. my gasket was reusalble so all u need is a bit of hi-temp selant and a socket set. oilpan bolts are 16 ft/lb's torqued so dont be 2 hard when doing em up.

yeah either replace it or bang out the dent if you can. make sure you use oxygen safe sealant if u do use some.
