i seen a few threads on rebuilding a vtec, but how much is it to rebuild an si 92 engine seems worn out , i know vtec is 5k+ (dayamnnnnn)

and yeah just stock internals...

ii think it might be cheaper to just get a h23a eng+grbox and put it in huh

look on liek ebay for a VTEC engine from japan or something, or local importers u coudl prob do it for 3k if you knew ppl. or less

thanx, sounds like a hassle though... so no1 here has ever done a rebuild on these cars?

my guess is that when people's non-vtecs pack it in, they'll either sell the car or upgrade to a VTEC...at the end of the day you have to weigh up whats more beneficial for you in the long run...

spending afew grand on a rebuild or afew grand on a new engine...

yeah i get ya , thanx for the help guys, ive actually decided to get rid of the prelude idea and just got a civic 97 gli :)

na drop in a vtec bro! its best option 4 sure. you'll be disappointed with civic performance... you could spend like $2000 on internals doing a rebuild on h23a with performance parts from rocket industries, it'll probly go really hard but its still not vtec. go vtec best option ive done it trust me

yeah hard, end of the day its an old honda and looks pretty silly doing it up, im gonna keep it save money for the new shape wrexy when it comes out...
