I'm experiencing really distorting sounds from my sound system.
i have alpine speakers n a pretty dodgey headunit. whats the problem?

Does it distort to the music (for example distortion on each bass beat), or is there random distorsion/crackles here and there?
Does it distort/crackle at all volumes or only when u crank it loud?
Does it do it as you hit bumps/ only while driving, all the time?
2nd hand speakers?
Has it been like this since 1st installed, or has it just suddenly poped up out of nowhere?

We need more info to narrow it down, theres lots of things it could be.
My guess would be that since the headunit is a bit dodge, maby it has a very small power output, which would cause the speakers to distort at low volumes.

check the ground (black) wires on the unit. is it loose?
