DC5R ecu tune

just wanted to discus options for the ecu tune, i dont really want to a stand alone ecu or a piggy back but mabee a reflash, what reflash programs are people using, i know most have hondata, but my ecu is not compatible with hondata.???

the ecu program for the dc5 from hondata is not a reflash.
I didn't think you can get a reflash from hondata australia for the dc5r, in USA you can.

you either have Kpro or K100.

K100 or K-PRO easily the best way to go. for this im pretty sure you will need the JDM PRC ECU to begin with but the AUSDM PRB ecu may work but you will need to check.

you then have it upgraded by hondata to a k100 or a K-PRO spec(this can be done in australia by a few places too)

from memory it is to do with the immobiliser function on the k20a2 ecu (PRB)

Hondata can check for you which ecu is kpro-able or k100-able.

With TypeS owners, you will need to buy an adapter harness.

why dont you just buy a compatible ecu and get it done then you can sell it later if you want to turn your car back to stock.

i thought type s needs to use a 02-04 ecu and then an adaptor harness?

Just bought Kpro from Vicent yesterday, and put it in my car with untuned, Still waiting for my catback, once it come, i will do fine tune and show what result i got via Dyno later
