Rear window defroster - snapped cable

On my run around shitbox, the plug that connects to the window has snapped off (ie, the actual thing that sits onto the window)

Is there a way to fix this?
As I don't want to pay to replace a whole rear window

if there is any silver bits left you can just solder it back on.

if you go to Supercheap or Auto1 - or any reputable parts store - you can buy 'demister repair kits' which consist of bits you need to glue the plug back onto the plate - it uses conductive particles.

there are also kits which allow you to fix breaks in the actual demister lines which run accross the window too.
