HOw much roughly would it cost to get my front brake pads changed & the discs machined?
Pads around $100-$120 fitted
Around $30-$40 Per disc machined
honda pads go for ~130 alone for the fronts.. trade slightly cheaper

yeah but they dont last as long as Honda ones and they also squeek and squeel and are alot harder on the rotors compared to Honda ones.
i got bendix as replacement to stock pads, dey suck. my discs kinda got grooves now (machine soon i fink), and squeeks and can hear friction (against disc) sounds when cold.
also dunno if its the already bad effect, but seems dey fade more den the stockies (oem rotors and never changed since car was new pads) my mum has in her stock civic
yeah, i have had no probs a just lucky i guess
Yeh sorry.. that price is for non-oem pads. OEM ones are very expensive... rear ones costed me 102 bux for my civic, and that was trade price.
i got OEM fronts and aftermarket rear's. rear's cost $58... ferdo avdance?

I had shite Bendix pads on my last ride and they really messed up my rotors.
Wore off more of the rotor than the OEMs.

actually im running benedix advance, i reckon they stop quite well. The only thing im against is disc wear..
Pad cost $60 bucks or so and machining costs $10 for a pair..
And they seem to wear quick..
All up $70 + labour if needed.. Its fairly easy to do..
I can offer some assistance if your in sydney...
OEM has a certain level of quality..... but damn.. never knew they were so expensive..
Honda wanted me to pay $16 for 2 crush washers for my fuel filter. The guy suggested me to go to supercheap auto where it would be like $1-$2.. ahahah
