does any one know anything about quad throttle body from a 4age 20v on to a b16a2?
ive heard of people doing it, i believe it requires custom work to fit them.
Have a search on yahoo, im sure youl find somone whos done it.
Have a look here, this fellah modifyed some cbr quads to fit his b series. http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=56024

I believe people go this route as it works out quite alot cheaper than an aftermarket b series quad throttle setup.

We just got a tool maker we know to make ours, all we had to do is show him what we wanted and he machined it and got it welded. Here's some pics.

What do you mean? Are you talking about the blue trumpets thingy in the pics?
The benifits of having quad throttles comes from the fact that each cylinder has its own throttle body, i dont understand how you could just fit the Throats/trumpets without the actual throttle bodies

Well i should say, you cant run the engine without some sort of throttle body/s, as i know youd be aware.
I suppose you could add the trumpets to any engine before the stock throttly body and manifold, but i cant imagine any noticiable changes from doing so.
Sorry im just really confused:confused:

Nah man the trumpet are ones we modified which are for webers. The middle section is the Toyota ITBs and as you can see the runners are half Toyota and half Honda
Im just confused with silver screens last post.

The pics of edge autos custom itb setup which he is refering to, is exactly what the OP is talking about doing.
I was confused into thinking that he was saying that the trumpets/throats (i see now he didnt actually say throats) were cheap and can be fitted to any car with some mechanical knowledge. Which would obviously be an odd thing to do without the actual throttle bodies.
Anyways just a communication misunderstanding.

The stupid thing is the trumpets cost us more than the throttle bodies.

It is definatley cheaper to make your own, it cost us about $800 for ours but what you save in money you loose in the time and frustration it takes to make them. If you had to pay someone to do the whole lots it would be cheaper just to but a set. But if your your handy with tools its well worth the experience.
