Apexi PFC Hand Controller LED not working???

Hi guys...
just wondering if any of you have had the same problem...basically the hand controller doesnt light up that yellowy-green colour...LED brightness set to 99 and still nothing...
The hand controller still functions as usual...displays everything etc...its just the lighting for the screen and buttons that doesnt work...
What could the problem be?
Is it easy to fix?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I assume the LED itself is busted... and it uses a surface mount LED's so I dont think its that easy to repair unless u have the skills to do so :)
