Hey all,

Ok, so I got defected the other day for being too low. Now, the car is sitting approximately 60mm off the ground, and needs to be 100mm obviously. I need to present the car at the police station by 24 april for them to check that the height of the car is legal. I saw these clamps on ebay, which can raise your car by 2" or lower it by 2": http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=009&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&viewitem=&item=190094416960&rd=1&rd=1

Does anyone know if these are alright? All I want to do is raise the car by just enough, so that I can show the cops, and then take them out again.

Thanks peeps

these wont 'raise' your car. they will lower your car. but then 'raise' it by 2" from the lowest clamped point.

just hope the cops dont check your springs when u present your car. i'm pretty sure these would be illegal.

lol its just having spring compressors/clamps on ur springs constantly... looks kinda unsafe...
and i dont think it would raise ur car.. it looks like its most likely to lower the car anywhere between 0 to -2 inches

it would probably disrupt the spring rates - might make cornering/handling craptastic :)

these clamps are incredibly dodgy , dangerous and illegal.

they are NOT for on-road use.
They are designed for SHOW events etc. IE "dump" your car for a show. Then uninstall , and drive off later.

DO NOT GET / USE THESE !

Think about whats going to happen when you go over a bump and your spring compresses even more causing the clamp to fall off....
I would never touch them or would not even travel in a car that I know has them. As has been said they are very dodgy and very dangerous. Spend a couple of hundred $$ more and get something better. After all if something goes wrong, its your life at risk.
