Hey guys,

Was at the traffic lights just now and some a**hole threw a water balloon from one of the adjacent apartments near the traffic lights and dented my drivers side door. Don't ask me how the hell a water balloon could dent a car but my car is now in the garage with a massive dent on the door. It's not too bad and i think I can push it back out but I need to remove the drivers side door panel of a 2007 Civic.

Wondering if anyone here could help me out with some instructions as to how to remove the panel, pictures would help greatly. Any info would be helpful

Thanks in advance

You should find out where it came from and get them to pay for the damanges...even if it is minor.

It could have caused you an accident IF the car wasn't stationary.

Hey gerard,

Fantastic info! thanks alot! helps a great deal. I wanted to find out who it was but its so hard cos there were like 8 possible apartments from which the water balloon could have been thrown from. It's really pathetic that there are people like this, with nothing better to do with their nights.

Will update with some pics if I can when i get around to fixing the door just in case anyoen else in the future needs to do the same. I kno Chylld posted some extensive pics and instructions on how to do it but I guess it cant hurt to have more info.

Thanks to all who helped, much appreciated. +1 rep point to you Gerard

one thing i just remembered... back when i was producing films in university, we had an old car that we painted and dressed up for a film. in one of the shots one of the crew pushed too hard on the rear quarter panel (he was trying to shake the car for a still shot) and made a big (6"-12") dent in the side.

we were able to fix it on the spot by using a really strong suction cup, made for mounting a gps unit to the windscreen. they're the type that attach to the surface, and then have a dial which when turned increases the suction force dramatically. we attached it, gave it a nice pull, and the panel popped right back out!

if you can get your hands on one of these (normal suction cups won't do it) then definitely give it a go!

WOW! that sounds interesting! Might try and give that a go first, hopefully that will save me the trouble of pulling apart my door.

Thanks again Chylld!
