Hey guys thiking of getting a 5zigen header for my car.

thing is they were made for vtec heads. will this still fit my b18b? i thought headers were interchangeable between b series engines.

also the colector is 2.5 inches is this alright? or too big for my engine?

anyone have these headers care to say how they perform? thanks.

yes it will fit on your car.
2.5inch is good for your car i reckon.

waht if the rest of my exhaust system is 2.25 though?

will it still be better then a 2.25 inch collector you think? cheers.

if your cat + catback is 2.25 inch then there is no advantage in having a 2.5 inch collector.
Dont worry , the guys fitting in will reduce the pipe down on the cat inlet and it will fit up fine.

i think the 5zigen collector would only be 2.38 anyway.

60mm inner diameter
64mm outer diameter

This is for B18 header

Inner Diameter as in the diameter:

1. Of the hole in the flange

OR

2. The hole before the flange?

Because the diameter I took was of the actual "circle" of the flange of the 5zigen header

...the hole BEFORE the flange. Its the INNER DIAMETER of the PIPING. Nothing else. There are two types of flanges generalyl used - one will flare out
alittle larger to "mate" ontop of the other side ( like a make / female adaptor") and the other style is a simple flat flange. Two sides bolt together.

what ben said.

i was more refering to people measure the outside of the pipes and saying they have a 2.534 inch exhaust system when in fact they've got a 2.5 inch (inner diameter)

Hi dudeling7, just get a custom cat flanged and made to fit your collecter and catback. It will cost more for the cat but since you're planning to spend that much to have the headers fitted, might as well make the best out of it with a new high flowing cat :)

most headers would be better than stock
