Powder Coating Calipers...
Yay or Nay?
Would there be safety/heat issues by powder coating brake calipers? Anyone want to tell me why this might be a bad idea (apart from the rice factor), before I go and get my calipers some new skin?

Why not just get them painted with high temp paint? Could get a professional to do it and would come out looking just as good as powdercoat.

you retain too much heat

plus the fact that when you sandblast/powdercoat all the seals in the caliper will turn to poo and will require replacing

I was thinking powder coating as just painting over it will not give a smooth glossy finish (as such as the brembo paint finish). it'll probably still leave the original texture of the ionised caliper...
And also.. i was thinking of powder coating in a rather unique colour...
