Can I get a new key?

Hey guys,

just picked up an EJ8, both the honda keys that it came with the rubber is disintegrating pretty bad. Where can i go and get a new genuine on cut? will honda dealer do it?

You can get a new one cut but they're like gonna be around 200. You can just call up some locksmiths and see if they're able to cut keys which have an immobiliser chip in them, i got mine cut for around 70, it may not be a genuine Honda key but it works just as well and doesn't cost 200.

Yeah thats the way to go man.. i did the same thing with my ej8!

Unless u have the key cutting thing that you originally get when the car is bought new..

It has the program in it which the honda dealer can use..

my one was gone when i bought the car..
