hey guys i just conected my new projectors , but the parkies dont work on the left side only the right, i know its not the housing because i switched the left housing onto right (driver) wiring and it worked...

the strange thing i noticed is right side parkies had 2 red and one black, but left side had only one red and one black wire....

what could be the probem?

could it be a fuse?

maybe you bent a connector while reinstalling? Don't think it's a fuse or else both parkers would be gone. OR could be a fauty globe :p try the globe 1st easiest thing to test.

Check the wiring and connectors for shorts, using a multimeter if possible. If water gets in them, they can short and melt the connectors and cause a different combination of lights to light up at various headlight switch settings.

yeah ive got a multimetre, but theres so many variations of problems, i dont really know where i should start, the strange thing is there are 4 wires from

back of headlight: :CAR WIRE

--- BLUE WIRE-- --- RED WIRE ---

--- BLACK WIRE--|
|--- BLACK WIRE ---
--- BLACK WIRE--|

--- RED WIRE-- --- RED WIRE---

the thing is when i disconnect the blue one, nothing lights up but nothing is shortened (high beam works not low beam) then as soon as i connect blue wire and try turn low beam on itll short the fuse...

The parkies are low powered so you could run a wire from the other working parkie.

where are you located man.

We had similar problem on my friends corolla when he got some angels for it. We had to rewire the rings so they came on with the parkies, and since it was a 2 piece headlight (the actual headlight had hi/lo beams -2 separate bulbs, and 2 rings around them and an indicator in the bottom corner closest to the grille) and parkies were separate on the other corner piece, if you imagine an eg headlight (i know u have ek) but eg's are 2 piece, so the indicator was in the actual headlight and the parkies were in the corner lights where egs have indicators. All we did was splice 2 wires into the stock parkies loom and solder them onto the 4 wires on the rings (2 rings = 4 wires). The Hi/Lo beam just plugged into the standard loom and the indicators were the same as the rings. Since rollas do not have indicators as standard in the headlight we just ran some wires to them, so he had indicators in the bumper (where they are normally) and in the headlights as well.

Also since you are shorting the fuse, check nothing is loose and there are no naked wires. Also maybe (just maybe) it is grounding somewhere it shouldn't, like if the mounting screws are touching something they should be touching. I can't tell you any more without actually looking at the car. Hope this helps and you get it working
