Lock near boot/fuel release ?

Hey guys, just wondering what the lock is near the fuel and boot leaver on the floor in the car ?
Whats the lock do ?

it looks the latch for the fuel release thing.

So you can't accidentally open the fuel cap door.

Locks the boot from the outside...
.......i.e. disengages the external boot release.

it locks the internal boot release lever so you cant open the boot from inside the car.

Doesnt work so well though, you can just yank the lever hard and it opens anyway.

really??? im scared of snaping it lol ...
i think it used to lock the boot so if sombody try to break in ur car and open the boot to look for something precious :p like amps, sub ur stuff LOL

Spot on poid, my mistake, had my car in for 10k service yesterday so I couldn't try it out.
It's the switch in the boot that disengages the external catch....I won't try forcing the lock lever though.

Seems strange though they didn't make the internal boot lock also disengage the external release too.

does any body know if there is a latch to open the back seat from the boot?

there was the last time i looked, up under the parcel shelf.

i therefore wouldnt recommend trying to lock anyone inside the boot :p

too late .... did b4 to my friend .. with blasted sub .and drive arround like nuts.. and the guy was totaly white out he goes pale.. like ghost.. and we think he were dead!! LOL..

probably he almost passed out hahaha... he didnt know the release hatch probably ...

but i wouldnt try forcing open the latch if i've locked it lol
only if i've lost the key.....but doubt that would happen
