i want to get new rims and i know what style i want

Work Emotion XD9
but i dont know what they mean when they say offset????for example:

17x7.5 <--- i know what this means
4x100 <--- i know what this means
+50, +42, +32 <--- i DON'T know what this means

some help????

you would want to get 42+mm.


answer to your question. = The offset of a wheel is the distance from the mounting surface of the wheel to the
true centerline of the rim. A positive offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is positioned in front of the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This in effect brings the tire in to the fender well more. Conversely, a negative offset means the mounting surface of the wheel is behind the true centerline of the rim / tire assembly. This will cause the tire to stick out away from the vehicle.

yeah 7.5 might stick out of your guards? I've got 17 x 7 on my teg

depends on offset..
you get 35, it'll stick out..
you get 42, and it might sit aligned with the guards

i've got 17x7 with +45 offset from memory. I get a bit of rubbing @ full lock when i'm at an angle (like speed bump etc....) but it's fine when the car is on a flat surface (like a road for example :p) so +42 should be pretty much perfect. Also i have not done any guard work (rolling them, pumping them out) and i don't rub on them, i rub on the inside of the guards (like on guard liner)
