I took out mine a while ago.

Disconnect your battery.

Trace the VAFC Cable to the ecu so you know what wires to disconnect.

Disconnect all the VAFC wires where they tap into your Ecu wires.

If they are soldered, cut the VAFC wires and insulate.

Once finished, reset you ecu and your away.

yeah i got a reply as follows which is similar to DLoo1

once you take the wiring out connnected to the ECU should be back to normal. Make sure you pull the ecu plug out of the ECU plug it back in and then start teh engine again.. let it run on idle for about 5 mins so the ECU can reconfigure itself

Sounds okay to do.
1 more question is how do i reset the ECU???

No, forget the other nonsense...
Just unplug the ECU
This will reset it & not affect anything else.
You're in the area anyway sorting out the wires... :)

The wire u can see with the red arrow goes 2 the VAFC

so you guys reckon all i gotta do is unplug the VAFC wire and insulate that and then
reset the ECU?

No. You'll need to reconnect the wires that been cut on the engine loom.

you don't splice the VAFC wires (except the throttle and rpm readings), you cut them and either use the plugs that it came with if you bought it brand new, or you solder it/wrap it/however you wanna reconnect it.

my car came with VACF 2 too, is there a any reason why you would want to take it out, I thought it was a good thing to have?

Could be heaps of reasons man.

Some people just dont like them.
and want to go back to stock.
May be upgrading to another type
or stand alone Ecu.
